The Lofts at Valley Forge - Main Event

The Lofts at Valley Forge Clubhouse is located at 1876 Minutemen Ln, Norristown, PA 19403.

• Simple
  1. I-95S toward Delaware.
  2. Take Exit 7 for I-476N toward Plymouth Meeting.
  3. Take Exit 16B for I-76W toward Valley Forge.
  4. Take Exit 328B-A for US-422W toward Swedesford Rd. / Pottstown.
  5. You will see an exit only sign for Trooper Road. Take the Exit using the middle lane rather than the exit-only lane. SLOW DOWN! Stay to your left and follow the left-most lane to make a left turn.
  6. Turn left onto South Trooper Road. SLOW DOWN!
  7. Turn left at the T-intersection to go under the bridge.
  8. Turn right at the immediate T-intersection down Riverview Boulevard. Go slow, speedbumps!
  9. Go all the way to the end of the road. The clubhouse is the raised building in front of you. Just before the circle, turn left onto Minutemen Lane. The front entrance of the clubhouse is to your right.
• Detailed
  1. When leaving the arrivals area or your rental car area, take I-95 South toward Delaware. This is obviously marked from the airport; it is a major road by the airport itself. There will be numerous signs, or your rental car agency will be able to immediately get you there from their location at the airport. If you end up in the wrong lane and going north on I-95 instead, just see the alternate route below.
  2. Take Exit 7 for I-476 North toward Plymouth Meeting.
  3. Take Exit 16B for I-76 West toward Valley Forge.
  4. Stay to your right as you get close to Exit 328.
  5. At Exit 328B-A, take the ramp right for US-422 West toward Swedesford Road / Pottstown. This is one of the last exits before I-76 West becomes a toll road. If you arrive at the toll booth, pull over and ask at the turnpike office how to turn around safely. It is a while before you hit the next exit where you could turn around.
  6. You will see an exit only sign for Trooper Road. Take the Exit for PA-363 / South Trooper Road using the middle lane rather than the exit-only lane. SLOW DOWN! We do not recommend the exit only lane for Trooper Road. This is a two-lane exit onto Trooper Road, and you will want to get to your left immediately on the exit. It is a short off-ramp. If you use the exit only lane, you will need to immediately cross over a lane going 45 to 65 mph to get as far left as possible on the exit so you can turn left onto South Trooper Road. Please also be aware that this is a dangerous intersection for numerous reasons!
  7. Turn left onto South Trooper Road. SLOW DOWN. If you aren't comfortable making this turn, turn to your right to stay on the near side of the concrete barrier, go to the first light, turn around in the gas station, and immediately get all the way to the left so you can go straight through. You will be on South Trooper Road without having to turn left.
  8. This will quickly become a T-intersection. The Schuykill River is directly ahead of you. Turn left to go under the bridge.
  9. You will be at another T-intersection on the other side of the bridge. Turn right down Riverview Boulevard. Go slow, or the speedbumps will kill you.
  10. Go all the way to the end of the road, past the apartments that look like castles to the apartments that look like city lofts. The clubhouse is the raised building in front of you. Just before the circle, turn left onto Minutemen Lane. The front entrance of the clubhouse is to your right.
• Alternate (Scenic Route): I went on I-95 North toward Philadelphia!

  Don't Panic! Sometimes you can get stuck in your lane at the airport, or you might choose Philadelphia over Deleware in a quick call. If you use I-95 North, simply follow signs for I-76 and the Pennsylvania Turnpike. You will take I-76 West, and rejoin the directions. This route is simply more likely to be a bit congested in my experience. At night, it may even be preferable, as it will take you along the Schuykill river, and you will be able to see the famous Boathouse Row lights.

• Alternate: I got off at Gulph Mills, King of Prussia, my hotel is in King of Prussia, or I am going to kill someone in this traffic on I-76.

If your hotel is in King of Prussia, you may want to get off 76 a little early at the Gulph Mills or King of Prussia exit. From the Gulph Mills exit, stay to your left, and turn left again at the first intersection. This will take you to a traffic light on South Gulph Road. You will turn right. The King of Prussia exit puts you at a traffic light for South Gulph Road a little further up, which also is South Gulph Road, but here you want to turn left. South Gulph Road becomes North Gulph Road as it crosses over Route 202 / Dekalb Pike. Many hotels are along 202 / Dekalb Pike or Gulph Road and the surrounding area.

To get to the Lofts from where 202 / Dekalb Pike and Gulph Road intersect, continue past the King of Prussia Mall on your right, past Creed's Seafood, on your left, and finally past the Valley Forge Convention Center / Casino on your right. The Casino is a taller building in the area, and has a huge V on it right now during construction. Once you have passed the casino, climb the hill, and stay to the right to make a right turn just before the next traffic light. On your left at the traffic light is the entrance to Valley Forge National Park; if you pass it, you have gone too far. After you make the right just before the light, go through the first traffic light and immediately go to your right for the on-ramp for 422 West. The Trooper Road exit will be within a few miles.

1. Take the exit for I-76 West toward Valley Forge.
2. Stay to your right as you get close to Exit 328.

2. Take Exit 16 to merge onto I-76W toward Valley Forge.
3. Take Exit 327 / 328A-B for US-422W toward Swedesford Rd. / Pottstown.
4. You will see an exit only sign for Trooper Road. Take the Exit using the middle lane rather than the exit-only lane. SLOW DOWN! Stay to your left immediately once you are on the exit, and follow the left-most lane to make a left turn.
5. Turn left onto South Trooper Road. SLOW DOWN!
6. Turn left at the T-intersection to go under the bridge.
7. Turn right at the immediate T-intersection down Riverview Boulevard. Go slow, speedbumps!

1. Take the Pennsylvania Turnpike (I-76) West toward Philadelphia.
2. Just past the Valley Forge Service Plaza, take the exit for Valley Forge.
3. Stay to the far right at the toll booth.
4. Immediately past the toll booth, exit right toward Valley Forge Park / 422 West. You will be on North Gulph Mills Road, just past the King of Prussia Mall.
5. Follow Gulph Mills Road past Creed's Seafood, on your left, and past the Valley Forge Convention Center / Casino on your right. The Casino is a taller building in the area, and has a huge V on it right now during construction. Once you have passed the casino, climb the hill, and stay to the right to make a right turn just before the next traffic light. On your left at the traffic light is the entrance to Valley Forge National Park; if you pass it, or enter the park, you have gone too far. After you make the right onto 23 just before the light at the park entrance, go through the first traffic light past the 422 East on-ramp, and immediately go to your right for the on-ramp for 422 West. The Trooper Road exit will be within a few miles.
6. You will see an exit only sign for Trooper Road. Take the Exit for PA-363 / South Trooper Road using the middle lane rather than the exit-only lane. SLOW DOWN!
